Smaller bar diameter and strong knurling really helps with grip. I can easily use a hook grip if I want. The first three times I did deadlifts with this bar, I set a new reps PR each time. It's 7.5 feet long, so the plates are farther towards the ends of the bar which adds to the whip and gives you better leverage off the floor. Since most powerlifting federations use a dedicated deadlift bar like this one in competition, it makes sense to have your own to get used to using one. The great thing about this deadlift bar is that it is about half the price of the other deadlift bars with similar specs. The sleeves don't have bearings, they have bushings so the spin isn't as strong. But spin doesn't matter in the deadlift which is what this bar is made for. If you do deadlifts competitively and train in a home gym, you should get this bar. Or buy one and take it to the gym with you.

The knurling is very aggressive which is good for deadlifts. The center is smooth against shins on conventional pulls. The whip is noticeable at 315, right where is should be for a deadlift bar. I was skeptical because it was less than 200. But I'm very impressed and would recommend to anyone with a home gym set up. I'm adding a video of me testing it out as soon as I got it. I maxed out with it. 475lbs / 215kgs

first off I’ve given five star reviews on several bars for different reasons, but this bar is definitely a five star bar. The spin is quite smooth very nice as sleeves are micro grooved which I don’t mind. I just don’t want them like on a leave. The knurling is freaking great. I like a very aggressive nursing. Some people have mentioned that it was too aggressive for them. I find it to be perfect. The bar itself is very well built very aesthetically appeasing and the packing was top notch. I really wish other companies would take a lesson from these people the carrier that delivered it on the other hand, decided they were gonna throw the box around and drag it across the floor. They had ripped open several corners and yet with the way the bar was packed in this box in a bag, and Styrofoam the the bark came perfectly intact not a more on it beautiful bar beautiful packing wonderful company extremely professional shipping. This is definitely worth every sense spent on this bar. I have other bars (many other bars) and I would write this up in the top three definitely going to be a go to bar in my future nice job LOEFT!… now if I can just come up with the money to buy the 32 mm squat bar I’ll be in heaven🤣

I love the size of this bar. The extra length makes the movements a bit more challenging. I haven’t weighed it but it feels heavier than 55lbs, maybe it’s the extra length that makes it feel heavier. Knurling is aggressive and makes for a really good grip, along with the 32mm diameter.

The quality of this barbell is great. This is close to something you would find at a commercial gym. This is built tough and can hold a lot of weight. The stated weight capacity is 1200lbs but you won't be able to find that many weight plates on there. I tested it with 415 and it held up fine. That's about all I need for my purposes.
The grip is good with the knearling being good but not too aggressive to the point where it tears up your hand. It was able to fit in my squat rack just fine to rack the weight. The bearings seem good and it rolled easily for deadlifts. It's a good value for the money considering how well it's built.
